Elektron emerged from the shores of the Göta älv in late-90s Gothenburg, Sweden. This west coast city - with shipyards, industrial docks, and rusty harbor cranes scattered across its skyline - would come to spark a new wave of music-making machines.

Initially a university collaboration between gifted classmates, school projects would evolve into nostalgia-feeding yet future-echoing, earth-shaking drum machines, synths, and samplers over the following decades. The Elektron portfolio and our unique workflow has continued to blossom ever since, with the possibilities of tomorrow offering ever more ways of crafting, sampling, synthesizing, and sequencing sound.
